Comments - Interesting image of a horse-drawn streetcar crossing over a modern stone bridge in Tokyo. Pedestrians and a rickshaw can be seen at lower right, while a wagon carrying several passengers goes the opposite direction on the bridge. Modern streetlights flank the roadway. A nice illustration of the rapid modernization taking place in Japan during the Meiji era.
