Japan Coffee Society Meeting Prints - Interesting print from a series of woodblocks by Gijin Okuyama for meetings of the Japan Coffee Society, an organization promoting the study of coffee culture and history as well as providing social opportunities for members. Subjects mainly show people from around the world drinking coffee. Each print is attached along the top edge to the inside of a meeting folder, and was issued in a limited edition with the edition size printed at the bottom edge. Some designs are signed and dated by the artist, who is the son of the well-known modern printmaker Gihachiro Okuyama. These charming designs are a rare find and a fun subject for a coffee lover.
