Comments - Unusual kabuki scene of two commoners attacking each other with wooden signposts. The fellow at left lunges forward using the pointed end of the stick as a weapon, an enraged expression on his face. His kimono features a large butterfly on the back. The man at right raises his post behind his head, a tightlipped frown on his face, In the center a beauty tries to intervene holding her hand out in alarm as another man behind her watches her closely. A dynamic design with large figures set off by a deep red sky and blossoming cherry branches overhead.
