Beauties in Private Quarters, 1857

Comments - Charming scene of beauties in private quarters preparing for bed. The woman at bottom leans forward as she holes a slender pipe between her hands, a tobacco set on the floor nearby. Behind her, a beauty smiles as she tucks a roll of tissues into her obi. Her companion looks out the door to a hallway with sandals on the floor and covered dishes on a shelf on the wall. Nice detail in the interior setting, including burnishing on the black lacquer trim of the wooden panels.

Image Size - 14" x 10" + top margin as shown
