Ichikawa Sadanji as a Samurai

Comments - Great kabuki portrait of Ichikawa Sadanji as a a wild-haired samurai leaning forward with an angry grimace as he grips a polearm with one hand. He wears a fine suit of armor over a blue geometric print kimono, his hair giving him a disheveled appearance. Two birds fly across the night sky above. A large expressive figure, detailed with fine line work in the hair.
