Miyuki, Chapter 29: Oyasu

Series; Ukiyo-e Comparisons of the Cloudy Chapters of Genji, 1845 - 1846

Miyuki, Chapter 29: Oyasu - Charming scene of the beauty Oyasu shaking petals from a plum branch into a small blue and white ceramic cup. She smiles as she works, the white petals showering down onto the floor. One sleeve of her blue kimono is pushed down to the waist, revealing a print under robe with a tan collar. In the room behind her, two mirrors in black lacquer cases rest atop a small chest with drawers, and a snow-covered plum tree frames the view. An attractive subject from this handsome series.
