Kataoka Hachiro Tameharu, 1843 - 1844 - Great portrait of the samurai Kataoka Hachiro Tameharu looking over his shoulder with an angry scowl as he rests on one knee. He holds a weighted chain in one hand, the links trailing along the ground before him, and holds his sword upright in the other. He wears a fine suit of armor over a red brocade robe, a straw raincoat and hat hanging over his back. A nicely detailed, expressive figure.
