Comments - Fantastic triptych illustrating "Vengeance at Iga Pass," also known as "Kazuma's Revenge." The hero, Shizuma, enlists the help of the swordsman Masaemon to avenge his father's death, waiting to attack the murderer Matagoro as he travels. In bottom center, Masayemon wields two swords, sending his enemies tumbling to the ground with one sword while blocking an enemy's pole arm with the other. A lively depiction of this surprise attack, with a handsome landscape setting and expressive figures.
