Great Fireworks Display at Ryogoku Bridge, circa 1840 - 1842 - Handsome illustration of fireworks exploding high above Ryogoku Bridge in Edo, sending a shower of sparks over the darkening sky. Pedestrians crowd the bridge, and many viewers enjoy the display from boats on the river. A line of dark rooftops frames the scene at lower right, with a teahouse hung with paper lanterns on the opposite shore. A rarely seen design.

Condition - This print with good detail as shown. Horizontal and vertical folds. A few repairs, creasing, rubbing. Please see photos for details.
