Keiichi Takasawa - Specializing in bijin-ga or images of beautiful women, Keiichi Takasawa worked as a painter and an illustrator, and also created woodblock prints for the publishers Yuyudo and the Kato Print Institute. From 1975 to 1982, he designed cover illustrations for the popular Japanese women's magazine "Fujin Koron." His wonderful portraits of modern women are drawn with fluid line work, with grace and elegance beautifully capturing the spirit of the era. Keiichi Takasawa's beauty prints are popular with collectors.
Portrait of a Woman, 1969 - Great modern portrait of a woman in profile, set against a shimmering silver mica background. This print was used on the cover sheet of Keiichi's Takasawa series "Pictures of Women." The prints in the series are dated 1966, while the cover sheet is dated 1969.
