Maruyama District, Nagasaki, Hizen Province

Comments - Interesting panoramic view of the Maruyama licensed quarter pleasure district in Nagasaki, which was on the outskirts of the city. People stroll about a paved plaza in the center, including foreign men wearing long coats and black hats. Beauties entertaining guests can be seen in the upper stories of teahouses at lower left and top center. At upper left, tightly packed roofs can be seen with mountains in the distance. Nicely detailed.
