A Fuji Arts Special Offer Auction

Iwai Kumesaburo III as Oyone, 1862 - Fantastic kabuki portrait of Iwai Kumesaburo III as the beauty Oyone, looking up with a sly smile as a cloud of smoke drifts across the night sky. She wears a striped kimono over a red under robe with a blue tie-dyed collar, hair pulled back into a smooth bun tied with a green ribbon, a comb slipping loose at the side of her head. A bold design, nicely detailed with fine line work in the hair. The first time we've seen this subject.

Image Size - 14 1/4" x 9 3/4" + margins as shown
