A Fuji Arts Special Offer Auction

Fan Tokaido - Wonderful Yoshitoshi print from a collaborative series of the Tokaido Road commemorating the journey of the Shogun from Edo to Kyoto in 1863 to visit the Emperor. Several artists created designs for the series, with Yoshitoshi contributing fifteen images. The series is called the "Fan Tokaido" after the folding fan format of the title cartouche. A handsome design from very early in Yoshitoshi's career, and a rarely seen series.

Image Size - 13 1/8" x 9" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with good color and detail as shown. Vertical wrinkle. Stitching holes at side, a few wormholes, repaired. A couple creases at edges. Please see photos for details.
