Beauty with a Kite - Attractive portrait from a rarely seen Kunichika series pairing beauties with famous restaurants in Tokyo. Here, a woman smiles happily as she looks over her shoulder, holding a purple and white checked kite with a circular medallion featuring writing. She wears a deep blue kimono tied with a green plaid obi over a red under robe, the white collar delicately embossed. The inset above shows the garden entrance to the restaurant with stepping stones leading to the steps. The background features a red tie-dyed textile pattern above with a leaf design below. A charming subject with fine detail in the hair.

Condition - This print with good color and detail as shown. Thinning at edge, a few small holes, repaired. Wrinkling throughout. Please see photos for details.
