Comments - Handsome kabuki triptych paired with the popular theme of snow, moon, and flowers featured in a circular inset in each panel. From left, the roles the beauty Oshichi, the monk Baisao, and the samurai Kichiza. The beauty looks up with a smile as she holds a letter she has just written, a brush in her other hand and a writing set on the floor nearby. In the center, the monk leans forward with a bowl before him, a worried expression on his face. At right, Kichiza eyes him suspiciously, a flowering branch in his hand. The first time we've seen this interesting Kuniyoshi design.
