Comparison of Flowers - Shibata Zeshin's series "Comparison of Flowers (Hana kurabe) comprises one hundred prints, which were released in ten groups of ten woodblocks each. Along with flowers and plants, the series features a wide variety of subjects, from people visiting a temple or climbing a hill to still-lifes and animals. Zeshin studied painting with the great artists of the Maruyama-Shijo School in Kyoto.
