Beauties Visiting a Waterfall - Beautiful depiction of a group of beauties visiting a waterfall, admiring the dramatic falls crashing into the river below. Two women chat happily on the shore at right, a young girl beside them carrying a parcel wrapped in brocade cloth. Beautiful color and detail in the elegant kimono fabrics, which are patterned with an array of flowers and leaves. Two other beauties gesture and point at the water from the opposite bank at left, a row of steps leading to a small structure atop the hill. Nicely detailed with embossing on the white kimono collars and trim, and burnishing in the black hair and black obi. A rarely seen Chikanobu design.
