Wisteria Viewing at Ushijima - Beautiful scene of upper-class ladies enjoying the view of wisteria at Ushijima from a hill overlooking the water below. They pause under a pine tree, looking down at visitors strolling along a wisteria-covered walkway. The standing woman wears a lovely blue kimono patterned with rushing waterfalls and a variety of colorful flowers. Nicely drawn with fine detail, embossing on the white kimono collars and trim and the pink sash, burnishing on the hair, and bokashi shading on the water and sky. A charming spring triptych and a rarely seen Chikanobu design.
