Comments - Fantastic modern portrait of a woman from the medieval period in Japan, sitting with her back to the viewer. She bows her head as she smiles mysteriously over her shoulder, her long hair trailing over her back into sweeping curves. The curved lines of the blind hanging behind her echo the curve of her back, with the colorful layers of her kimono curling up at the lower left edge. A terrific, bold image with a wonderful sense of movement. This large format design is a great subject for a collector interested in modern Japanese prints.
