The Eighteen Kabuki Plays - Terrific image from the handsome 1917 series "The Eighteen Kabuki Plays." This great series depicts characters from the eighteen kabuki plays made famous by the Ichikawa Danjuro line of actors. These chuban format designs feature expressive figures and colorful costumes. The first time we've seen this early 1917 actor series. A nice choice for a collector interested in classic kabuki subjects.
