Original Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864) Japanese Woodblock Print
Scene from Date Moyo Somete Kisaragi, 1858

Comments - Charming kabuki portrait of Iwai Kumesaburo III as the koshimoto or lady's maid Magaki in the play "Date Moyo Somete Kisaragi." She stands beside a bench beneath a blossoming cherry tree, smiling as she holds a writing set in her outstretched hand. Her purple kimono is bordered with pink and white flowers, and a cloth is pinned protectively around her hairstyle. An attractive design with soft shading on the background.

Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - 14" x 9 7/8"

Condition - This print with nice detail as shown. A few small repairs, slight creasing. Please see photos for details.
