Comments - Intriguing scene of a daimyo's procession traveling along the Tokaido pas, the entourage winding back and forth across the front of the scene. At upper right, archers lead the way followed by footmen carrying tall fringed standards to signal the approach of the daimyo. Near the bottom center, a nobleman rides a white horse, an attendant sheltering him with a red umbrella. The group passes along the shore at Omori, where seaweed growing on poles for harvesting can be seen at upper right, and many ships dot the bay. An interesting image, nicely detailed.
