Five Pines, Onagi Canal - Beautiful view of one of the famous Five Pine trees along the Onagi Canal. By this time, the other four had died, so this was the only one left. The ancient tree towers over the water, carefully supported by wooden posts. Boatmen pole a ferry filled with passengers across the calm water, with the rooftops of Edo stretching out along the curve of the canal into the distance. A handsome design, attractively colored and shaded.
