1918 One Hundred Famous Views of Edo prints from publisher Uo-ya Eikichi - These 1918 prints are from a beautiful posthumous reprint release of Hiroshige prints by the original series publisher Uo-ya Eikichi. In 1918 Uo-ya Eikichi re-released a complete set of Hiroshige’s "One Hundred Famous Views of Edo" in a small edition, with prints of the highest quality rivaling those of the lifetime edition. Ueno Yamashita - Terrific Hiroshige print of Ueno Yamashita, where the small shrine of Gojo Tenjin is nestled among the trees at left. At right, the Iseya restaurant advertises its popular rice dish on a banner above a fish shop. A procession of beauties carrying matching umbrellas approaches at bottom left, as crows fly overhead. Beautiful color and attractive detail in this charming design.
