Takanawa, 1857 - Charming portrait of a beauty carrying a black lacquer shamisen case, grinning happily as she holds a plectrum or pick to her chin. A rectangular inset at upper right show of view of Takanawa, where people are enjoying a view of the crescent moon from the shore. An attractive design from this seldom seen series.

Condition - This print with good detail as shown. Backed with somewhat stiff paper. A few wormholes, repaired. A couple small spots, diagonal wrinkle at lower right. Please see photos for details.
