Series; Grasses of Valor

Ichikawa Danjuro VIII as Hakoomaru, 1847 - Attractive design of Ichikawa Danjuro VIII as Hakoomaru (the young Soga Goro) preparing to draw his sword. He grips the handle as he looks over his shoulder intently, frowning slightly. He wears a red kimono patterned with large flowers and delicate leaves, tucked into full white hakama pants. His hair is pulled back into a thick ponytail tied with a white cord. Nicely detailed with fine embossing on the white pants. A handsome portrait set off by a soft gray background.

Image Size - 13 3/4" x 9 1/2" + top margin as shown

Condition - This print with good detail as shown. Vertical and diagonal folds. A couple wormholes, repaired. Creasing throughout, slight rubbing. Please see photos for details.
