Lord Yoritomo Watches a Noh Performance, 1863 - Handsome triptych depicting a Noh theater performance taking place at a palace. Lord Yoritomo sits on a cushion at far right, with retainers sitting in orderly rows at bottom center and other viewers crowded behind a bamboo fence at left. On stage, an actor wearing a flowing red wig and green demon mask stands next to a samurai waving a sword above his head. A group of samurai in matching blue and white kimono sits along the edge of the stage. An impressive design with fine architectural detail. A very early Yoshitoshi subject.

Image Size - 14 1/8" x 29 1/4" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with good detail as shown. Three separate panels. A few small losses at edges and holes, repaired. A few marks, folds, wrinkling throughout. Please see photos for details.
