Comments - Handsome kabuki scene of Bando Hikosaburo V as the samurai Izutsu Kamenosuke in the play "Katakiuchi uwasa no Furuichi" at the Ichimura Theater. He stands in a doorway, frowning angrily as he looks into the room, one hand resting on the doorframe. He wears an intricately patterned gray kimono tied with a tan obi, holding one of his swords by the scabbard. A sliding shoji panel at right features a simulated wood grain panel below. Nice architectural detail in the interior setting.
