Bellflower - Beautiful design of a beauty taking a stroll, lifting the hem of her kimono as she walks past blossoming bellflowers. The title cartouche at upper left takes the form of a bat with outstretched wings. A lovely example of aizuri-e, woodblocks printed primarily in tones of blue. This print includes delicate pink shading around the eyes. A striking print that would make an attractive display. Rarely seen in reprint.

Artist - Toyokuni I (1769 - 1825)

Image Size - Sheet size 16 1/8" x 10 1/2"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Small fiber in paper and mark, a couple light creases at edges. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
