Twelve Months of Beauties - Attractive design from Toshihide's 1901 series pairing beauties with the twelve months. Each print feature a woman taking part in seasonal activities, such as playing a game of hanetsuki for New Year's or catching fireflies in summer. Drawn with fine linework, some subjects include deluxe publishing techniques such as embossing or mica. A handsome, rarely seen Meiji beauty series.hante

Special detail - Embossing on the fan, silver mica on the blue areas of the kimono.
