Comments - Charming image of a beauty holding up a young child to look at the poem slips fluttering in the wind as they hang from bamboo stalks during the Tanabata, one of Japan's famous five seasonal festivals. The child reaches for colorful slips eagerly, the mother smiling fondly as she lifts him closer. Her softly shaded kimono features tie-dyed maple leaves, worn over a red under robe with an intricately tie-dyed collar. A handsome design from a rarely seen series.
