Comments - Interesting kabuki scene of Moritsugu fighting a beauty in the snow. At right, Moritsugu grips his sword upright with both hands, a small log serving as the hilt. In the center, the woman stumbles backwards, a large knife hidden behind her back. She wears a patchwork kimono over a suit of armor, his long hair falling loosely over her shoulders. At left, a warrior strikes a pose gripping a wooden pole, grimacing angrily as he watches the confrontation. He wears a striking black kimono with a dragon pattern over armor, his feet bare. Snow falls heavily through the wintry gray sky, blanketing the trees and foliage. From left, the actors are Ichikawa Danjuro, Iwai Shikaku, and Seki Sanjuro II. A great design.
