Alarmed Couple beside a Boat, 1863

Comments - Interesting kabuki scene of a couple on the rocky shore with a boat behind the. The daughter Hitomaru grins anxiously, flinging one hand out at her side. Her companion leans forward with a worried expression, reaching his hand out before him. He wears a blue coat with a black collar over a striped kimono, two bundles tied to a red sash over one shoulder. The actors are Bando Mitsugoro VI as Hitomaru and Bando Kamezo in "Yasa Heike Shirabe no Futsutsuka." Nice expressive figures in an attractive setting.
