Snake: Taira no Shigemori Caught a Snake - Interesting scene of a court servant paying a visit to the nobleman Taira no Shigemori, kneeling respectfully before him as he delivers a message. Shigemori has caught a snake at the Imperial Palace, the coils of the serpent extending from beneath the sleeves of his purple robe as he regards the messenger soberly as he stands on the steps of the palace, A blossoming cherry tree frames the building, with delicate petals drifting down through the sky. An attractively detailed subject.
