Comments - Charming portrait of a courtesan and a kamuro or child apprentice in a teahouse in the Yoshiwara. The beauty perches on the railing of a verandah, smiling happily, a roll of tissues in one hand. Her kimono is shaded from green to gray and bordered with morning glories, her obi wrapped loosely about her waist. Overhead, the tassels of an ornate lantern swing in the evening breeze. An attractive design.
