Smiling Woman Kakemono, 1843 - 1845 - Attractive kakemono or vertical diptych of a beauty smiling happily as she looks over her shoulder, lifting her robe with one hand as she tucks a roll of tissues into her obi with the other. She wears a checked kimono shaded from blue to light brown with a white bird on one shoulder, her bare feet peeping beneath the hem. A lovely Edo era beauty design.
