Modern Style Set of the Provinces in Edo Brocade - Interesting design from Kuniyoshi's series featuring kabuki actors or scenes for the provinces in Japan. Each print originally featured two provinces. The scenes depict historic figures in nicely detailed settings, while the kabuki designs present a large head and shoulders portrait set against a landscape background. Some prints included deluxe publishing techniques such as embossing. A rarely see Kuniyoshi series.
