Onoe Kikujiro II as Kenkaya's Wife, Otoku, 1852

Comments - Interesting scene from the play "Shinzo Tsurifune Kidan" at the Ichimura Theater of Onoe Kikujiro II as Kenkaya's wife, Otoku. She stands in a garden, looking over her shoulder with a suspicious smile as she hides a lantern beneath her sleeve. Above, festival floats can be seen in procession beyond the black fence. A handsome design with a nicely detailed setting.

Image Size - 13 3/4" x 9 3/8"
