Long-tailed Bird and Maple

Comments - Interesting image of a long-tailed bird flying above a maple tree with orange foliage. The bird seems to hang weightless in the air, the upturned wing leading the eye in a sinuous curve across the body and down the tail feathers. A striking kacho-e or birds and flowers design, detailed with soft shading on the background.

Artist - Hiroshige (1797 - 1858)

Image Size - 13" x 4 3/8" + top margin as shown

Condition - This print with good detail as shown. Wormholes, repaired. Wrinkling throughout. Please see photos for details.
