Series; Thirty Views of Kyoto, 1936

First Edition Thirty Views of Kyoto - Handsome first edition design Tokuriki's lovely "Thirty Views of Kyoto" series, published by Uchida in 1936. These charming shin-hanga designs illustrate famous places and events in Kyoto, celebrating life throughout the seasons, rendered in a painterly style with subdued colors and soft shading. Each print is mounted to stiff board in the nearly square shikishiban format, ready for display, with a label on the reverse. First edition images from this series are seldom seen on the market.

Image Size - 10 5/8" x 9 3/8"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Board is quite curved and does not lay flat. Toning. Some prints have a few small spots or small creases at corners. Please see photos for details.
