Original Shin-hanga & Modern artist (unsigned) Japanese Woodblock Print
Lobby of the Hotel Okura in Tokyo

Hotel Okura Prints - Interesting design from a series of five woodblocks depicting the Hotel Okura in Tokyo. Completed in 1962, the building received the most outstanding architecture award from the Building Constructor's Society of Japan in 1964. Designed by architect Yoshiro Taniguchi, the building combined Japanese esthetics with contemporary elements. The building was demolished in 2015 and replaced with a new Hotel Okura, which recreated the original lobby interior. A nice historic record of this impressive structure.
