Comments - Handsome triptych showing Prince Genji and several beauties strolling through the Saruwaka theater district on a moonlit night. He stands in the center of the street holding a fan, smiling as he chats with the beauty at left. She smiles back at him, shyly raising her kimono sleeve to her chin. She wears a lovely kimono shaded from deep purple to soft green and patterned with plum blossoms. Pedestrians crowd the street lined with kabuki theaters and shops, and a young girl at right carries a large paper lantern. A full moon glows overhead in the evening sky. An attractive scene with wonderful architectural detail in the setting.
