Comments - Handsome interior scene showing a man at right serving sake to a guest, holding out a tiny kettle, a set of graduated sake cups resting on a red lacquer tray before the samurai at left. The samurai man looks up with a slight frown as he exchanges glances with the older man at upper right. The older man frowns back as he pushes up his the sleeve of his brown kimono. He wears an unusual gray fur vest worn over his robe. In the center, a beauty smiles as she looks over her shoulder, an elegant black lacquer container in her hands.Nice detail in the interior setting and household furnishings, include the sliding screens decorated with pine trees and a floral arrangement at right. An attractive kabuki design.
