Comments - Terrific advertisement for Senjoko face powder featuring the kabuki actor Nakamura Shikan on a fan. A packet of powder lies at an angle behind the fan, the name visible on the package. First sold in the Kyobashi district of Edo, Senjoko was a popular white face powder that was advertised in a variety of ways, including on woodblock prints. A rare design and a great advertising collectible.
