Kato Kiyomasa Viewing Mt. Fuji from the Coast of Korea, 1887

Comments - Fantastic scene of the great warrior Kato Kiyomasa and his men viewing Mt. Fuji from the coast of Korea. A distinguished leader, Kiyomasa was one of the three senior commanders during the Seven-Year War with Korea. He is shown here standing at the edge of a rocky cliff, shielding his eyes with his hand as he looks back towards his homeland. Samurai with spears surround him, and one retainer hold a large standard with red fringe fluttering in the breeze. A great composition with fantastic detail in the armor and weapons.

Image Size - 14 1/8" x 27 3/4" + margins as shown
