Comments - Handsome five-panel design of courtesans strolling through the Yoshiwara at night beneath blossoming cherry trees. Each beauty is dressed in elegant kimono, and wears tall geta clogs with three "teeth," identifying her as an oiran or high-ranking courtesan. The woman at right wears an obi with a striking pattern of a carp leaping up a waterfall. A bamboo fence encloses yellow mountain roses, with lanterns place at intervals. A classic Edo era beauty subject in an unusual format.
