Sawamura Sojuro VII as Narihira Reizo, 1927 - Fantastic kabuki portrait by shin-hanga master Natori Shunsen of Sawamura Sojuro VII as Narihira Reizo, staring down with a grim expression as he holds an umbrella over his shoulder. He wears a dark blue coat with a black collar over a gray striped robe, his hair pulled back into a slender topknot. Snow falls heavily through the air. An expressive figure, beautifully detailed with fine line work in the hair and swirling baren marks on the wintry gray sky.

Sealed - Red oval "Natori" seal at lower left indicating artist's approval
Publisher - Watanabe, with Watanabe-ko seal in gray within image at lower left
