The Fifty-three Pairs for the
Okitsu: Scenery of Tago Bay, circa 1845 - Attractive scene of a nobleman along the shore of Tago Bay, shielding his eyes with the sleeve of his robe as he enjoys the view. Fishing nets are hung up to dry at lower right, and white sails can be seen beyond the pine-covered outcroppings of land at left. Mountains shadowed in gray line the horizon, with Mt. Fuji looming majestically against the sky, dominating the landscape. A terrific Hiroshige design with fine bokashi shading on the mountains and water.
