Wedding, 1847 - 1852

Series; Three Ceremonies

Wedding, 1847 - 1852 - Beautiful scene of a young bride arriving by an elegant black lacquer palanquin for her wedding ceremony. She smiles happily, dressed in a white kimono with a white robe draped over her head. Two matrons take her by the hand as they lead her forward. Other attendants kneel respectfully around the room. A wonderfully detailed image, with embossing on the bride's white kimono and the matron's white kimono trim. A great look at a traditional Japanese ceremony.
