Comments - Handsome image of the Seven Lucky Gods sailing in in their takarabune or treasure ship at New Year's, with a fierce dragon as the prow. At center right, the Goddess Benzaiten has a lute across her lap. Just below, Ebisu waves a fishing pole with a red snapper thrashing about at the end of the line. At lower right, a turtle with long moss flowing from its shell, a symbol of longevity, bobs to the surface of the water. A crane flies overhead as the sun rises, sending rays of light radiating across the sky, and Mt. Fuji is visible at far right. Lively color and wonderful detail in this charming design.
